[Using Sakai] Syllabus Tool - Published by default?

Katie,

There isn't a way to change this default behavior in the 10.0 release.
After reading your email, I created a jira
https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-27817 and committed a fix to Sakai
trunk that will allow you set a property to make the newly created items
(on the main page) published. You would set:

syllabus.new.published.default=true

This may not make it into 10.1, but it should make it into 10.x pretty
soon. You should merge this into your instance if you don't want to wait or
you can wait a until it is merged into 10.x and just deploy the latest 10.x
code.
