[Using Sakai] How to copy course content in Sakai?

Hi Rui,
From what I understand, Sakai is able to copy over course materials
on a tool-by-tool basis. As a general rule, student-created content
(such as forum posts, etc.) tend not to be carried over, while things
like files can generally be carried over. Tools that can carry over
material include: the wiki, syllabus, polls, assignments, schedule,
gradebook, forums [structure only?], announcements, web content links,
modules, tests & quizzes, and the resources area [a full file structure
with folders and files]. It's an easy process, just a couple of clicks
from within the interface. Your mileage may vary based on vendor, tools
enabled, etc.

FYI, our medical school (UNC School of Medicine) compared Blackboard
and Sakai point for point when looking for an LMS to suit our needs, and
I wrote my master's thesis on the topic. Your needs might be different,
but looking it over might be helpful to you as well. Michael Feldstein
wrote a blog post about it.

Hope that helps!
