[samigo-team] 2 Open Issues with SAMigo 2.9

Hi SAMigo team,,

There are 2 open issues with SAMigo 2.9 that I'd like to get community
input on:

1. *Problems with SAMigo email feature*: The SAMigo email feature,
available on the grading pages (Total Scores, Submission Status,
Questions),allows the grader to email a student with feedback/comments
during grading. There have been reports from the community that the
feature is not compatible with certain web browsers (SAM-1130).
Furthermore, there have been reports that the email feature sends
feedback to the wrong person (SAM-1249)
Stanford has local fix of using 'mailto" that's been committed to Sakai
trunk but not yet a part of SAMigo 2.9. 'mailto' will work with desktop
as well as web-based email in terms of launching the compose window and
auto-populate the To, From, and Subject fields. We haven't tested what
happens when a user uses a computer that's not theirs and their
preferred email client is web-based. However, I would tend to think that
using a computer other one's own to do grading is rare/edge case. Does
the community have any objection to making the "mailto" fix a part of
SAMigo 2.9? Does anyone have an alternative solution?

2. *Sorting questions in question pools*: SAM-1198
Alpha sorting and sorting questions by type are supported although based
on the JIRA description, there seems to be a desire for more ways to
sort than what's currently supported. Stanford has not had a chance to
spec out solution. Any takers? Longsight is willing to implement the
solution.

Thanks,
Jackie
