Hi

We would know your point of view from the Jira SAM-2334
<https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAM-2334>.

There is a problem when a user/instructor removes/adds or changes one
answer from a FIB question, and afterwards, regrades the assessment.

Due to the current way for inserting questions, there is no possible way
to know how blanks have been modified. The question consists of a plain
text with brakets as the only way to distinguish the blanks from each
other. Since there is no ID to have the blanks identitied, we can't be
sure about which blank has been deleted.

i.e:

    FIB question before the teacher modifies it:

    {a} {b}

    FIB question after the teacher modifies it:

    {d}

Since there is no ID to have the blanks identified, there is no possible
way to know what blanks have been modified.

We propose as a possible solution: Add a warning to let instructors know
about the consequences of their changes: remove, add or change one
answer from a FIB question and regrading the assessment.

What do you think about?

Regards,
Raúl
