> So, if I have a John Smith in class, I want to be able to see all of
John Smith's posts for the Week 2 forum, without seeing anyone else's
posts, so I can count the posts, look at the dates (because there are
deadlines), and assess the contents. Is there a way to do this?

Yup. Just go to "Statistics & Grading" then click the link on the top
right that says "Statistics & Grading by
Topi<https://sakai.northweststate.edu/portal/tool/be8d2f7e-906b-4473-ba4b-98b6380ff838/discussionForum/statistics/dfStatisticsList#>c",
then select the forum your want "Week 2". This will give you an overview
of each students authored, read, unread stats as well as give you two
links: The students name; which will pop up all their posts, and "Details"
link; which will give you even more details and in context.
