[Using Sakai] Exporting all inline Sakai Assignment submissions into a report

Is it possible to export all Sakai Assignment inline submissions into an Excel file or report containing Name, ID, and submission text?
I know that the download All feature will create a folder for each student containing the submission text as a file and any attachments they submitted.
Is this feature anything that might be in the works?  Or has anyone written a script that could go through the folders and extract the text?
