No, OAE is a completely new architecture intended to support the next 
generation of course management.  There is almost no overlap with the 
CLE.  However, an attempt to create a hybrid system was made that would 
allow access to CLE data from OAE.

That is up to you.  You should evaluate it's features and determine if 
it is right for your organization.

Sakai CLE and OAE are separate managed projects supported by the Sakai 
Foundation and contributing members.
