I've provisioned the Nightly2 Sakai CLE "trunk experimental" build with a set of new capabilities that augment the current stock trunk build. I've added some cool stuff, including the Neo Portal project and Rutger's Lesson Builder, among others.

The purpose of the build is to highlight new stuff that might feature in future Sakai 2x CLE releases. However, let me emphasize that there is no guarantee that the additional capabilities added to "trunk experimental" will be included in sakai-2.9.0 or later CLE releases. What you see may come to pass but may also never come to be.

Other capabilities can be added at the request of project teams. I prefer projects that can deploy binaries (i.e., Maven assemblies) in preference to having to adding the projects to trunk's svn .externals file.

trunk experimental: http://nightly2.sakaiproject.org:8085/portal

Sakai CLE trunk +
Neo Portal (added to .externals)
Hybrid (binary deploy)
Lesson Builder (added to .externals)
Mailsender (binary deploy)
Roster2 (binary deploy)

BUILD/DEPLOY IT LOCALLY

Developers who check out trunk can build "trunk experimental" locally by simply activating the Maven experimental build profile:

cd sakai-trunk
svn update
mvn -Pexperimental clean install sakai:deploy

Cheers,

Anthony
