I would guess that it’s a huge effort to back port, months of work.

Hi thanks for all your suggestions on this great feature of Morpheus.I really anxiety about this feature. Most probably i used to work on sakai 2.9.3 and 2.9.5.We are not yet decided to migrate. So i tried to back port and if anyone explain at least basic steps it would be great help for me.I know it is bit difficult but i have few questions to get clarity on Morpheus
Is Morpheus effected to all the tools?
If it is effected to all the tools then what are the effected portal code changes(at least file names).

Thanks

It'll need some work to get it to work properly on Sakai 2.9.

Morpheus development is working with hand in hand with the inlining iframe effort led by Dr Chuck. Which as I understand it has touched a lot of core files. Morpheus is flexible enough to be reconfigured without the iframes inlined but that's not a current goal.

The morpheus code in 10.3 release is out of date and you need to use the trunk.

Going forward all changes are in github.

Unfortunately it’s not just a different skin. It meshes with code in portal. It might be possible, but you’d need to integrate the portal patches with 2.9. You’d probably want to use the trunk version of Lessons, since Lessons also generates code in the area normally managed by portal. There are some Morpheus-specific changes to Lessons trunk. Other tools are going to need CSS changes, but probably not code changes as long as you don’t try to move the code that replaces iframes with inline. In theory morpheus will work with iframes, since there are situations where 11 will have to use iframes.

It’s Sakai 11 that will have the Morpheus skin by default. I don’t think it’s possible to easily backport to Sakai 2.9

Hi,

As all we know that Sakai10.3 have a Morpheus skin by default. Is there way to back port Morpheus skin to sakai 2.9.3.

I have tried to create the new Morpheus skin in sakai10.3 itself.Even in this also i get some challenges. And to create the Morpheus skin i have followed the following link

https://source.sakaiproject.org/svn/reference/trunk/library/src/webapp/skin/morpheus-master/README.md

By going through the above link i am unable to find the Sakai-Compass-Compile.rb in morephus-master folder in 10.3.

Wish you happy new year all.

Thank you
