[Building Sakai] CM data changes

In my experience, working with a few different SIS systems, course
offerings don't change terms. Course offerings are an aggregate of a
canonical course and a term. If you need to associate a course
offering with a new term, I think typically a new course offering
would be made using the same canonical course. I've never seen a use
case where a term was adjusted.

Technically, what you are saying is probably true, although I'm not
sure if the API supports that sort of thing or not, and what the
issues would be. It might help to back up and describe more what you
are trying to do. Why are you trying to change terms, rather than
just create a new offering ?
