Hello all,

I've got good news for those of you who have struggled with those pesky "target" directories scattered through your working copy!

The short story is that you can now specify a "sakai.build.directory" property that can place the target materials somewhere outside of your source tree (trunk only for now). Don't worry -- you don't have to do this and nothing will change if you don't.

Have a look at https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-20291 for the full description and details, including some samples of how you might take advantage of this option. I personally like the setup in the (current) last comment.

I hope you can forgive me for taking the liberty of applying this change without prior discussion. I thought it would be easier to discuss in context (so you can all see and try it easily), and it should not change the default behavior in any way.

Thanks,
-Noah
