[Building Sakai] Upgrading from msgcntr 2.7.0 to 2.7.4?

I am currently running Sakai 2.7.0 with message center 2.7.0.  I am currently going to be patching the message center 2.7.0 release with this feature request https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/MSGCNTR-374..... I was wondering if it would be advantageous to also upgrade to 2.7.4 at the same time I am adding this feature request?
