[Building Sakai] James email relaying stopped

We've had our James email relaying get hung up. I was wondering if
anyone else has had an experience like this. Hopefully, this is an
issue that's been seen and fixed for later versions of Sakai - we are
using 2.6.0.

An instructor sent an email to our Sakai server with four recipients.
Each recipient was an email archive in a course site. All four of the
email archives received and stored the message, but only the first
three sites' members were forwarded the message. The James mailer has
since stopped relaying any messages. It spools them, but nothing is
being sent out anymore. I will restart the Tomcat soon, and hopefully
it will send out the spooled messages then.

The James log shows an anomaly when it was processing this message.
The entries regarding the spool manager end like this:

07/10/10 11:44:35 DEBUG spoolmanager: Processed Mail1286477075156-157
through root
07/10/10 11:44:35 DEBUG spoolmanager: Result was transport
07/10/10 11:44:35 DEBUG spoolmanager: ==== Begin processing mail
Mail1286477075156-157====
07/10/10 11:44:35 DEBUG spoolmanager: Processing Mail1286477075156-157
through transport
07/10/10 11:44:35 DEBUG spoolmanager.transport: Servicing mail:
Mail1286477075156-157
07/10/10 11:44:35 DEBUG spoolmanager.transport: Checking
Mail1286477075156-157 with
org.apache.james.transport.matchers.HostIsLocal at 55d2d4e5
07/10/10 11:44:35 DEBUG spoolmanager.transport: Servicing
Mail1286477075156-157 by

That's the end of them. Normally, there are three more spoolmanager log entries:

07/10/10 00:07:29 DEBUG spoolmanager: Processed Mail1286435249404-138
through transport
07/10/10 00:07:29 DEBUG spoolmanager: Result was ghost
07/10/10 00:07:29 DEBUG spoolmanager: ==== Removed from spool mail
Mail1286435249404-138====

The stored messages in all four email archives look fine; the Tomcat
logs show the message being relayed three times and nothing else out
of the ordinary.

My best guess is that the email archive thread got hung up while
sending email to the fourth site's members, and never returned, and
James is waiting forever for that to return.
