[Building Sakai] rudimentary clicker device using report in email archive

Is anyone in the Sakai community thinking of ways that the email
archive could be leveraged as a rudimentary clicker device?

I'm thinking:

1) In class instructor displays a poll question. For example it could
be the following:

I am most concerned about:
a) Unemployment
b) National security
c) Health care reform
d) National Debt

2) After displaying the question the instructor instructs students to
use their cell phones to email the course site with an email
indicating their answer. For example, a student is worried they won't
get a job when they graduate. So using their cell phone they email
the site "Sociology1100 at sakai.weber.edu" with an email message with
the following letter in the body of the email: "a"

3) Within the email archive tool the instructor runs a report that
parses through the emails that were received in the last couple of
minutes and then displays the distribution of answers.

I didn't find anything with the keyword "Clickers" in Jira. But maybe
something already exists?

Cheers,

Luke
