[Building Sakai] Help applying local patch to kernel

I'll write this up on confluence *soon*. You have to essentially do what you
described and maintain a custom kernel. If your fix is of use to the
community you should submit it as a request on the kernel project at
jira.sakaiproject.org and if it gets committed to the main kernel you won't
have to worry about it anymore.
