[Building Sakai] Help applying local patch to kernel

Thanks for the quick responses. I was able to apply this patch locally.
I checked out kernel version 1.0.11 because that's the version I was already
using.
I deleted the .m2/org/sakaiproject/kernel directory, made my code changes,
and did mvn clean install from the kernel directory
Then I did a mvn clean install sakai:deploy from the sakai-src directory

This fixed my problem. I also created a jira requesting that this feature be
added to the kernel: http://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/KNL-252

Thanks again for the help!
