[Deploying Sakai] MySQL 5 and query cache

We've been using query caching for years with sakai 2.6 mysql 5 and
mysql-connector 3.0.8.

I believe I saw an advisory years ago that query caching was now safe to
use with mysql 5. But the details are lost in the mists of time.
