Thanks for the info to both you and Ray. Is it the general 
consensus of those closetst to this that SAK-12705 is "ready" 
for a merge to 2.5.x and therefore be part of 2.5.6 (using the 
r41099 commit)?

The same type of question applies to KNL-263.

Feel free to drop your observations in the appropriate ticket, 
so that a decision can be an informed one.
