Hello all,

I logged into http://qa5-us.sakaiproject.org/portal/ as admin but saw the below version. Am I looking at the most recent build, or is this a change that has yet to be made?

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks for your patience! qa5-us.sakairpoject.org<http://qa5-us.sakairpoject.org> us up and running on the copied Oracle 11g database instance now. It is still running the previous tag of evaluations (1.3.0-RC4), and this will be updated to the final 1.3.0 *soon* as mentioned by Beth.

Just as an update: The export is completed, but this qa instance will be down for at *least* another hour while local admins work to get network access to the new database setup for this server.

This 'sometime next week' is going to be starting in a half hour this morning from 10:00AM-11:30AM EDT. The evaluation QA server (QA5) may be unavailable during this time period.

Hi all,

Sometime next week we will be updating the QA5 server to be running the final Evaluations 1.3 release, and also update the database to Oracle 11g. We'll be migrating the data from the existing Oracle 10g database, but there will be an opportunity for data loss between the time we migrate the data and the time we reconfigure the server. This could be avoided if we shut down the server during the migration window, so please let me know if you would prefer the server be shutdown (and avoid data loss), or if you'd prefer the server remain up as much as possible (with any data loss being acceptable).

Unless I hear otherwise, I'll assume that as a QA server, it would be preferred to have the QA5 server remain up as much as possible during this migration, even if it risks a small amount of data loss.

Thanks,
- Beth
