It was a suggestion for simplicity.... 2.6.0, 2.6.1, 2.6.2, 2.6.x, 2.7.0,
2.7.1, 2.7.2, 2.7.x, 2.8.0, 2.8.1, 2.8.x....  makes for a lot of choices.
 But yes, I too am interested in knowing how many people are on the latest
version of a branch and how many people run releases versus maintenance
branches.
