We are now ramping up organization for the joint Sakai-Jasig Conference, June 10th-15th in Atlanta. This year, we intend to have two principle bodies undertake the organization of the conference, drawn from both Sakai and Jasig. 

A Program Committee, will, as the name suggest, take care of establishing tracks and themes, and will mark proposals. 

An Organizing Committee will look after logistics and infrastructure, social networking and other support. 

We'd like to finalize these committees by the end of this week (and a big thanks to those who have volunteered already!)

The conference will be both broader and larger than in previous years, and it is important that both Sakai and Jasig are strongly represented on both groups. Whilst I appreciate the calls on time across the both communities, please consider volunteering for one of the committees. Each group will work around a schedule of two-weekly calls, with some tasks distributed between the calls.
