Voting has formally ending and following is a summary of the issues which have PASSED and will be included in Sakai 2.9:

Upgrade to Tomcat 7 (https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-18760) & JSF 1.2 (required)
ACTION: Upgrade Nightly2 server ASAP
MailSender tool was proposed for the 2.9 release as a drop in replacement for the deprecated Mailtool, as a core tool. The mailsender is currently a contrib tool and would need to be migrated to the Sakai repository in order to be included in the Sakai 2.9 release.
ACTION: Someone needs to migrate the mailsender from the Sakai contrib to the core svn repository
Lesson Builder will be included in the 2.9 release as a provisional (stealthed) tool (http://jira.sakaiproject.org/jira/browse/LSNBLDR-11)
ACTION: Lesson Builder needs to be included in master pom.xml
Inclusion enhancement for soft delete of sites & resources
Recommended version of MySQL is minimally 5.1.
Recommended JDK is minimally 1.6.
The 2.9 schedule is detailed at https://confluence.sakaiproject.org/x/VIiCB
The 2.9 "NewPortal" (https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-19813) will be the default portal for 2.9
ACTION: Chat needs to be disabled until verified in load testing. The status of Profile2 is still outstanding.

The following is a summary of the issues which are BLOCKED and will not be included in Sakai 2.9 without further action or over-ride voting:

The News Feeds tool will remain a contrib tool due to concerns about maintenance and wicket dependencies
The CKEditor will remain stealthed due to concerns with outstanding JIRAs (especially SAK-17886)
Removal of Support for IBM DB2& IBM WebSphere Application Server if resources are identified to complete this work. Ideas included officially remove support (i.e. clean up files), leave WAS in trunk, remove the build. Blocked due to concerns of vague proposal language.

Thanks everyone!

A single -1 vote based on a material objection will block action. However, -1 blocking votes can be overridden by a 2/3 majority roll call vote of active TCC members.
