The only thing to bear in mind with this is that we need to be careful
about 1.6 code getting merged back to earlier branches which target
the 1.5 JDK. But I think it's important that people who are
developing/testing/running with 2.9 all do so on JDK 1.6.

Just for clarification we are saying we won't support running 2.9 on a 1.5 JDK?
