This is actuly how the search delimiters work (their base 1 not 0) and
is consistent with other paging queries in the kernel. I agree that it
should be better documented ( I got bitten by the getUsers() eqwuivelent
a while back) Fixing the kernel bug consistently is certainly out of
scope for this release.

-1 to fixing the kernel bug as you described
