As noted on the Etherpad, several items will be up for votes soon:

- approval the 2.8 timeline (the sooner the better)
- deferral of move to Tomcat 6 and Java 1.6 for 2.8
- removal Blogger and Reports from 2.8
- statement on deprecation of "original" Profile tool
- inclusion of new tools/functionality for 2.8
