[Using Sakai] Interactive training for Lessons?

We have used Lessons a lot in the last few years. We haven’t created training materials accept for a very brief web page on an internal support site (which is a bit outdated). We do have one stand up workshop but I don’t have access to those documents.

Here’s a few videos we made when we first deployed LB by one of our students. Now that the tool is more robust and in core, I would love to have more and better resources to help people use it.

Biggest challenges are:

1) Making people aware of LB

2) Giving them examples of structures that complement their syllabus.

3) Moving content around

Hi Ann,

I'm actually working on developing training materials (screencasts, interactive tutorials, etc.) for faculty on how to use Lessons as well as other Sakai tools for some online, self-paced workshops that we plan to offer. I'd be happy to share once the content is developed, although most of it is still on the drawing board at the moment. :-) Feel free to contact me off-list if you'd like to collaborate.

Wilma

We are preparing training materials for a course that will teach faculty how to use Lessons. We plan to take advantage of the help documentation that is already available. In addition we would like to build short interactive exercises that step faculty through some of the more common tasks (Add text, multimedia, Assignment, etc.). Does anyone have training materials such as this that we can adapt? Additionally, we would love to hear about any Lessons training approaches that are working for you.

Thanks in advance!
Ann
