Thanks.

What I meant was that if I browse to an assignments page, I can manually copy that URL (.../portal/site/xxx/page/yyy) and then navigate back to the lessons page I am composing to insert (attach) it as a hyperlink. Do this once for every lesson reference.

But these are cumbersome to do, and non-portable (duplicating course will break them all).
