Hello,
It was nice putting faces to names in San Diego, but I realized there are many who are interested in Tests & Quizzes who aren't on samigo-team list and/or haven't been able to attend our monthly meetings due to time zone constraints. Thus, the cross-posting (and bcc'ing of a few people). If you need to reply, I'd encourage you to join the samigo-team list, or reply to the list you are a member of.

The BOF discussed improvements that were very likely to make it into 2.10 because they are practically done, as well as JIRAS that have generated interest, but aren't complete (see PPT http://lanyrd.com/2013/apereo/schwhq/). My hope is that we might be able to get a few more of the latter over the hump in the next 6-9 months.

Based on the mood of the room, as well as a couple of conversations and emails, there seems to be interest in implementing the settings redesign (SAM-2070). Sam Ottenhoff had indicated that while he can't necessarily do the work, he'd be willing to talk to people and give them tips on how to do this.

I'd like to suggest that we meet, either this coming Tuesday June 18 or during our regular monthly meeting, July 2, to discuss this. The BOF has met at 11 AM Pacific, 2PM eastern, but doesn't have to in this case--here is a Doodle link to vote on times if you think you'd be able to commit a little coding effort to this. While non-coders could attend, I'd suggest we do a separate meeting to do a final review of the settings.

I'd also encourage you to watch or vote on some of these other JIRAs so we can get a sense of whether this is of interest to you and we can schedule these out as future meeting topics. If you are a developer and your school is interested, you can contact the owner of the JIRA to get a sense of what might be involved in completing the work.

SAM-2049: Add ability to transfer ownership of question pools. –Indiana (local only)
SAM-2050: Associate 2 or more assessments with the same gradebook item –Indiana (local only)

Stanford is tentatively committed to finishing out SAM-1709 (Audio recording should be done in Flash/HTML5, instead of Java applet) and is updating the design specs so this can be contracted out.

Yale demo'ed on Wednesday night for a placement test addition they made to SAMigo, but I had suggested we meet on July 2 to discuss--depending on how voting on meeting times goes though, we might move this out to a future date. I don't think Yale has added a JIRA for this work yet, so you won't be able to vote to indicate interest in this particular one.
