[Using Sakai] How to create a URL reference to an assignment in a course?

I see how I could copy URLs from the assignments page, and then extract the internal ID from the URL, and then paste that into a /direct/assignment/id/ and form a new URL, and then paste that in as a hyperlink (phew!), but is there a simpler way? (using 2.9.2)

Steve,
Thanks – how do I get the ID to use for each assignment?

Greg
You can use entity broker to get a URL directly to an assignment. /direct/assignments/id

Note that it opens without the portal surround.

I want to have a daily lesson overview syllabus, and include in it the topics, readings, and a link to the assignments for that day.

How do I create those links? When I try to insert a hyperlink and browse, so far I only see resources as candidate links.
