Hi at all,

we are trying to put Sakai CLE 2.9.0 to work.

We spend until now about 6 month for testing the demo (Sakai CLE 2.8).
Since 3 weeks we are trying to install the source code version of Sakai CLE 2.9.0 with LDAP for productional usage.

We already installed Sakai CLE 2.9.0 (source code version) in an Apache Tomcat 7 but until now the connection from Sakai CLE 2.9.0 to our LDAP-server fails.
(We followed the instructions given here: https://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/~steve.swinsburg/LDAP+in+Sakai+2.5)

So we want to turn on the logging of Sakai for LDAP to have the possibility to trace our errors.

“How?” and “Where?” can we turn on the logging for LDAP?

Some more information to our installation:
1) We installed a clean Apache-Tomcat-7.
2) We configured Apache Tomcat 7 running with SSL.
3) We downloaded the Sakai CLE 2.9.0 source-code version from the website (not the svn-version!, this didn’t work... 3 artefacts couldn’t be downloaded...)
4) We configured sakai/sakai.properties running with mysql (mysql was already installed).
5) We configured Sakai as written above for LDAP and made a clean install/deploy with maven.
6) We tested the connection to the LDAP-server of the university. (works)
7) HERE WE ARE NOW: We want to know why Sakai CLE 2.9.0 don’t work with our LDAP-configuration.

I hope someone can help us! ;-)

Thanks for all response.

Greetings from Berlin
