[Using Sakai] Statistics for admin, but not users?

For sites where statistics are not listed as the visible tools, because we don't want users viewing them for some reason, how can an admin get statistics reports? I.E. can admin access tools that are not [standard] user visible?

Clearly one could add the tool, use it, and then remove it again, but it would seem there must be an easier way!
