[Using Sakai] LMS evaluations & comparisions?

Whether Brian and Devlin actually were inspired by the Sakai UI isn't
clear to me.  But the larger metanarrative is true.  We produce all
sorts of things in the university that get commercialized by private
companies and their origins are forgotten or rarely known by the
larger public.  So when Chuck recalled, as he did in his recently
ended CourseEra course, that Mark Andreesen and the rest of the
Netscape folks immediately started attacking and marketing against
Mosaic as an inferior product it suggests a possible way to interpret
more current events.  Maybe when Josh Coates used to trash talk Sakai
as he did in Instructure's earlier days, he was just occluding the
origins of some of his company's own IP!  (Again, I'm not convinced
that this is the clearest way to tell this story.  But it sure makes
for a compelling narrative.)
