[Using Sakai] relative & absolute dates

In trying to clone items, and indeed an entire course, in Sakai, it seems that there is a lot of manual click-click navigation to adjust the dates.

For example if I duplicate an assignment, I might want a standard policy where it is due the same day, or the next day, or +n days later, and that one can hand it in late with some similar fixed date increment. Currently it requires a lot of clicking to adjust each of the the mm/dd/yy for each of these three items, for each assignment. Is there any easier way, or an idea of supporting incremental dates in a future release?
