[Using Sakai] Conference parking ideas

Possibly a good idea for existing zipcar drivers, but the $50 annual fee +
$25 application fee + $66 daily rate doesn't make it worthwhile for this
type of event. I got a great rate on the car rental, booking a month in
advance, but the parking the car per day (at the downtown hotel) is like 3-4
times more expensive than renting it! :) I'm staying outside L.A. for the
other days, so it's free parking.

Just seems like a lot is all, but I've never been to L.A. before. Everything
seems much more expensive most other big cities! I'll probably just return
the car early than pay the parking fees if it doesn't seem like I'll need
it. At previous conferences I've only really left the hotel one or two
nights, and it seems like there's a lot more stuff local to this hotel than
in Denver.
