[Using Sakai] Character limits and HTML coding

Dear Karen,

Thanks for the info. Just to make sure I'm expressing myself clearly: I don't object to the 4,000 character limit. What I don't like is Sakai or FCK Editor or whatever rewriting my HTML to introduce a whole bunch of blank space characters (i.e., U+0020) that push my HTML over the 4,000 character limit. In the most extreme case I've encountered, the editor added just under 400 such space characters, effectively limiting me to 3,600 characters. If the editor would just leave my markup alone and not add extra carriage returns and spaces, everything would be swell. :-)

Chris

P.S. Sorry for any duplicate messages—I didn't realize the reply-to went back to the author instead of the list.
