[Using Sakai] Advice on Elluminate Implementation

Mary:

rSmart has successfully integrated Elluminate (on Sakai 2.6 & 2.7) as
well as Wimba Classroom (on Sakai 2.7). We don't see any issues with
these integrations in implementations where Sakai is running on
multiple application servers (if I understand your question
correctly).

FWIW: In recent talks with the Blackboard Collaborate team, we were
satisfied about their continued support for platforms other than
Blackboard (eg, Sakai) and their roadmap for the live virtual
classroom prroduct, which I understand will build on the Elluminate
platform, but incorporate some UX and features from Wimba. I believe
they expect to start offering "Gemini", the new, combined product in
Summer 2011, but will support both Elluminate and Wimba platforms for
some time to give institutions a long runway to transition.
