[Using Sakai] Blog tools in Sakai

Hi everybody.

In our migration process from the 2.5.3 version to the 2.7 version of
Sakai, we have discovered that the blog tool which we used (post-2.5)
isn't maintained for this version. Also, I have been told that the
official blog tool is deprecated and is planned to be removed in 2.8
version, although a new tool, Clog, is going to be added instead.

The alternative seems to be the contrib tool BlogWow, but in its
Confluence page (http://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-18625) is said
that the tool has not gone through a formal QA process and is in a
Release Candidate state.

I would like to ask the community:

- Is somebody using BlogWow in production without (too big) issues?

- Are there any other alternatives in order to have a blog tool
integrated in Sakai?

- We are thinking about installing a Wordpress server for our
institution. This should be a perfect solution if it has a good
integration. I don't know very deeply the BasicLTI tool, what level of
integration could we achieve with a Wordpress server? Is somebody using
something similar anywhere?

Many thanks in advance.
Best regards.
