Hi Tapas,

Sakai does not yet support Tomcat 6. You need to run it with Tomcat 5.5.

I am new to both Tomcat and Sakai.
I have a Ubuntu 10.04 server edtion with no GUI access to it.
I installed tomcat6
apt-get install tomcat6
and then downloaded the binary from here
http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/DOC/Sakai+2.7
but where should I keep it for sakai to work.
Also I have some other applications working on port 8080
is it possible to use some port other than 8080,8005 and 8009

what should I read to be able to use Tomcat and Sakai?
