[Using Sakai] Converting quizzes with superscripts and subscripts

Hi Barb,

What we have just finished installing here at Virginia Tech to help  
with this issue is a little cgi script called MimeTex.  It uses LaTex  
like syntax to define an equation.  The equation is inserted as an  
image and the source of the image is the url.  http://open64.edtech.vt.edu/cgi-bin/mimetex.cgi?1=x 
^2+y+2 will produce this image   It was really easy to install.  It  
took me about 5 minutes from downloading to getting it running.  It's  
free open source.  Just search MimeTex and you will find it.
