Strategic Communication Plan
Colleagues,
Thanks for the follow up in completing the Doodle.
Based on the responses, I would like to confirm time for TWO CALLS:
Call #1: Wednesday, November 12th from 7:00 PM (1900) to 8:00 PM (2000) -
This call will be more of a general discussion with the students to give
them initial thoughts on Sakai communications
Call #2: Wednesday, December 3rd from :00 PM (1900) to 8:00 PM (2000) -
This call will be a follow up to the first in which we will provide
specific feedback on the student's initial communication plans
Please place these on your schedules. We will be sending out connection
information next week.
If you have any questions let me know.
Thanks, Josh

Subject: Meeting Request > Sakai Strategic Communication Plan
Colleagues,
As most of you will hopefully recall, I reached out to you a couple of
months ago asking for some assistance in providing feedback to a group of
Marist communication students (both graduate and undergraduate) who have
been working, under the supervision of Dr. Mark Van Dyke, on developing a
Strategic Communication Plan for Sakai. This project has also included
two Apereo Foundation Communication Interns, one undergraduate and one
graduate student (who just recently graduate actually). The students have
completed their initial research phase of the project during the first
part of our fall/autumn semester (here in the Northern hemisphere) and are
now moving onto during the second half of the semester to develop a
comprehensive plan.
Over the next month or so Dr. Van Dyke would like the students to get
feedback and advice on their plans from a diverse group of Sakai/Apereo
community members and I'm hoping that all of you can take a short amount
of time to assist us. To date, Ian Dolphin and I have been working fairly
closely with them but its important that they now engage with a larger
group.
ACTION ITEM > Please complete this Doodle (
http://doodle.com/6xwrqthfcvitvptr) which has dates/times for TWO CALLS,
one in November and one in December, no later then Thursday morning of
this week.
We recognize that the times are limited to the evening on the East Coast
which I know means some of you won't be able to participate. These times
are necessary as the students are mostly working adults and since this is
a school project they need to do the calls in the evening from home.
Mark and I are rather excited about this project as it not only will give
us a chance to improve Sakai communications and marketing but may provide
us with a model for engaging students in such work that we will allow us
to scale up such efforts over time.
Thanks in advance for your time.
Josh
