[Building Sakai] Sign-up tool error adding certain users to meetings

Hi:

We figured out the problem (Peter Liu helped me pinpoint the issue):

Those users had been entered into Sakai with additional user ids being their entire AMC email address

But we only login with our AD accounts, so Sakai must have had a conflict with 2 users having the same information.

Once we removed the User Ids having AMC email addresses, we could add them to the Sign-Up tool.

What role do these users have? And what is the list of permissions for this site's signup tool for that role?

Sign-up tool

We are having a problem adding certain users to the Sign-up tool on a project site.

These 3 users are long-standing users who have worked here for many years and are admins on other Sakai sites.  But they have “access” access to this particular site.

When a non-Sakai admin, who has “maintain” access on the site attempts to add these users to a meeting, she gets this error:

“ALERT: The user:irvined has no permission to attend this event”  and the user does not get added to the meeting or any other meeting.

For Sakai Admins, it appears the user is getting added to the meeting, since the error message does not popup, but the user does NOT get added to the meeting.

However, if the user adds himself to the meeting, he does get added to the meeting.

Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this error so the users can be added by the person with maintain access?
