[Building Sakai] Patch for Sakai 10 on Zip files

This sounds like a big problem to me. Is the solution to disable automatic zip decompression? If so then that should be the default - documentation may suffice so long as it's not left to the end user to make the decision as to whether to auto-unzip or not.

I warned Neal about this problem, but I have done some local tests just to be sure about it. And I think this issue is a real blocker. Even more if both Drag and Drop feature and automatic zip decompression are turned on either by default in Sakai 10.

I have uploaded a big zip file (23,7 MB) with thousands of files inside and, at the same time in other browser, I have uploaded a regular folder in other site with a different user. The zip file is quickly uploaded, but when the decompression starts, the other uploads halt and no more files are uploaded until it has finished (after several minutes).

If there is no time to include SAK-26102 in the release, IMHO it should be heavily documented to warn users for patching it.

This patch has been already commited in University of Murcia's nightly server at http://sakai-trunk.atica.um.es/portal . I have tested it there and it works fine.

Best regards.

Hay que exigir que se predique con el ejemplo. Suele dar el mismo resultado pero reduce el número de predicadores. (Perich) _______________________________________________
