[Building Sakai] Procedure for investigating missing Samigo submission?

Occasionally we get a student saying that they're certain they submitted
answers for an assessment in samigo, but the system has no record of it.
Does anyone have tips for looking further into this? At some point you just
have to say there's nothing found, but what kinds of effort would you put
in prior to that?
