By default they should not be all switched off. Is this because it's a new tool and no default permissions profile has been set (assuming such a thing is possible.?

FWIW we have the same problem on our test server.

Subject: [Building Sakai] Signup Tool default permissions for Sakai 10

Hi All,

Question about Signup tool default permissions for Sakai 10 .

Currently it seems to me that all permissions are off by default, and the instructor or maintainer has to turn them on, even to allow themselves to add a new meeting. Is this desirable behavior?

I would think at a minimum the defaults should be that the instructor/maintainer can create a signup tool meeting and the student/access participant can join the meeting. Confluence shows the suggested permissions from the Signup tool team [1].

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Neal
