[Building Sakai] failed cache startup

I haven’t seen this in production but I’ve seen it on my desktop system. It takes like 2 min before ldap logins work. I can force them to work by clearing all caches. I assumed that some bogus cache entry is getting created during startup that eventually times out, but maybe that’s the wrong diagnosis.
