[Building Sakai] Sakai News Tool Default Feed Error

When you add the "News" tool (tested in 10x [1]) the default url is
http://sakaiproject.org/feed

When you load the tool the following error is displayed:

Alert: This news service is not available at the moment. Please check back
later: : [Unable to interpret news feed from http://sakaiproject.org/feed]

Has something changed with http://sakaiproject.org/feed  (possibly the new
website) which caused this URL to be an invalid feed format?
