Java Web Developer (Sakai)
IT Services, 13 Banbury Road, Oxford
Grade 7: £29,837 - £36,661 p.a.
Do you have:
- Extensive knowledge of Java (or similar) plus JavaScript, Tomcat, Spring, SQL, Hibernate, XML and source code control systems?
- Enthusiasm for designing and building innovative new software for learning?
- Proven ability to work well with other IT specialists?
- Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills?
If so, you may be the person we are looking for to join our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) team. You will work alongside other developers and learning technology support officers within the Academic IT Services Group at Oxford University to develop the VLE service and support the requirements of our growing user community. As an experienced developer you will be responsible for planning, designing, testing and documenting major software developments. If you have a track record of successful open source code development and the enthusiasm to keep abreast of new developments please get in touch with us.
