Is this still an issue? I don't believe we're seeing anything odd.

We've been seeing problems with Sakai roster updates not being updated on the corresponding TII class. I sent a support request to TII UK asking whether they'd switched off the open api and they said no. They didn't say they'd modded the current API in any way though. I'm sure they'd tell us if they had done :)

Cheers,
Adrian.

Yeah. We're getting complaints. I know we're getting some reports back though, so it's not totally broken. The issues I've seen are errors due to sites or assignments not existing with TII. I haven't been able to investigate further yet.

I have reason to believe (3 separate client reports) that TurnItIn has again made large unpublished changes to their API around May 21, noon EDT.

Is anyone else having similar issues with TurnItIn this week? Does anyone have news from TurnItIn? Is anyone from TurnItIn lurking on this list with info?

FWIW the two changes appear to be compatible (IU did not apply the Sakai change).

Has anyone been able to get any information from TII about what they were attempting to do? It's not a great situation to be reacting to unpublished changes.

Update from IU's contact with Turnitin:

"I received word from Engineering that the code causing this issue was rolled back, which should resolve the problem. Can you please let me know if that's not the case?"

FWIW, I haven't received any additional communication, but it appears to be working now.

All,
   The update IU just received:
We've identified an issue and the engineers are in the process of getting it resolved, they expect to have it resolved within the next few hours.
I will let you know as soon as I have an update from engineering. I would hold off on that patch until engineering has fixed the issue on our side, just to be safe.

Good to know TII is planning to fix it. I went ahead and applied the code change from https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/TII-143 onto a server outside our production cluster while still pointed at prod data, and it appears to be slowly cleaning these up now.

Thank you to all who worked on this.

originality report sent on the following sync with TII.

an unversioned API that changes frequently is really frustrating. Does anyone
know anything more about this change from TurnItIn?
