My bad,

I had previously only built the 'cafe' version which starts up rather fast. The complete RC4 on the other hand takes awfully long to deploy for the first time, so Tomcat was working all along!

cheers,
Julian

Maven does not show any error, deploying seems to have worked fine. However, when I point my browser at localhost:8080 I don't get to see a website. The request just hangs (no specific error turns up either).
