[Building Sakai] Sakai chat portal - conversation disappears when moving between tools

I was able to reproduce this on your server. I created two accounts added
each as a connection and logged in with different browsers to each and
started chatting. In one I clicked a different tool. Upon render of the
page the chat window appears but the chat messages were gone.
